Petrosearch (Training)
has been providing public short courses for the last 15 years, with
style and content which are continually updated in response to changing
technology and feedback from clients.
The courses originated in
Perth where they are commonly referred to as PESA courses when they
are run under the auspices of the Western Australian Branch of the Petroleum
Exploration Society of Australia (PESA). On those occasions, industry
professionals may be involved as guest presenters and part profits are
donated to PESA (WA).
Introductory courses
are specifically scheduled to occupy a single day in order to minimise
“out of office” time for attendees whose critical support
roles often preclude a longer absence. However, the courses may be run
over two or more days when presented in-house
or when supplemented with more comprehensive materials and hands-on
exercises, allowing participants more time to absorb the information
and to delve into those areas which particularly interest them.
